The little wooden house is beautifully located in a lovely tropical garden setting. It is situated on a property of Sandrine’s and her family together with a bigger house and two smaller ones, but due to clever arrangement of the houses you enjoy total privacy. Sandrine, her husband and her son are great hosts – they are available for questions and support while totally respecting your privacy. The bedrooms are on souterrain-level, which is actually quite nice because they keep a steady temperature during hot summer days and cold nights. The location is both very calm and in walking distance to the beach and the village center with all kinds of shops. Lacanau is a charming village (we were there in september so it was not crowded but still lively) well suited for bycicle tours, water sports, visits to Bordeaux, Arcachon, dune du pilat etc. We spent 3 great weeks at Sandrine’s place and enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended!
